Year 3 trip to Kew Gardens
Hands-on exploring in the great outdoors
Year 3 children were excited to explore the beautiful Kew Gardens on Tuesday 9th May. The visit included an informative, hands-on educational session which provided opportunities for the children to showcase their knowledge about plants.
The children’s attitude during a scavenger hunt for pieces making up a flowering plant impressed the Kew teachers. They were surprised by the amount of different and interesting parts the children found.
The children were thrilled to ascend the Treetop Walkway where they were spoiled with magnificent views across the Gardens.
The children should be very proud for setting an excellent example for the rest of Echelford. Many adults, including teachers from other schools, complimented the children's behaviour and listening skills.
We would also like to thank Mrs. De Cort for organising this wonderful trip and making it possible for the children to learn in such a lovely location.
