4R's very own art gallery

Mesopotamian theme in the Lighthouse

Earlier this week, the children in 4R visited the Lighthouse that had been transformed into their very own art gallery for the afternoon. The gallery consisted of the children's fantastic artwork; they have been learning about pattern and texture and created their very own designs inspired by Mesopotamian pottery.

Throughout this half term, the children have been exploring Mesopotamia via their Literacy and History learning and they thoroughly enjoyed concluding this topic by seeing their artwork displayed in their own gallery. With their critical hats on, the children provided each other with positive and constructive feedback on their artwork, as well as completing their own self-evaluations.

The children should be commended on their fantastic learning and high-level of respect shown towards each other's pieces of art.
